Beth DennardBright Futures Consulting offers workshops and presentations to parent groups, religious groups, schools, and other organizations to help give participants a foundation for understanding the complex and high-stakes college admissions process.

Middle School Programs

Although it might be hard for some people to believe, the road to successful college admission begins as early as middle school. The courses students take and activities they’re involved in set the foundation for their high school years. Bright Futures offers workshops and presentations on:

  • Middle school course and activity selection
  • Timelines and tips to success for middle school, high school, and senior year
  • Identifying students’ core values, interests, strengths, and aptitudes to help target their four-year-college preparation plan
  • Understanding the basics of the college admissions process before entering high school to ensure key milestones and opportunities are met

Specialty Populations

We also offer specialized workshops and presentations for unique student populations. Workshop and presentations are available for:

  • Students with learning disabilities: helps students identify resources for success and understanding and asserting their rights during college
  • Homeschooled students: ensuring students meet key milestones as well as communicating their unique strengths through the college application and essay
  • Performing & Visual Arts students: understanding auditions, portfolios, and essays, and other key steps for setting PVA students up for admission and scholarships
  • Athletes: understanding the extra steps to admissions and securing a spot on the team, the role and requirements for the NCAA, and understanding athletic scholarships
  • Faith-based programs: helping students answer the call for a fulfilling life of service that pleases God and the power of encouragement
